Why LinkedIn Needs More Executive Creators

And what to share

Welcome to The Revenue Generator

Hey there, it’s Harris!

Welcome to the Revenue Generator where I (usually) share 1 tactic each week that you can implement to help you generate more revenue.

We need more Executives sharing thought leadership expertise on LinkedIn.

It’s the go-to place for business professionals to learn from others.

But what should their content look like?

Let’s dive in.

Today’s Topic - Why LinkedIn Needs More Executive Creators

LinkedIn needs more executive creators.

Here’s why:

  1. Executives have knowledge worth sharing - As an executive, you’ve navigated challenges, developed strategies, and led teams. That’s valuable insight that can educate and inspire others.

  2. You amplify your organization’s brand - Your voice extends beyond your individual role. Sharing thought leadership can elevate the reputation of your entire organization, showing the world the expertise and leadership within your company.

  3. You can access new connections - Creating content attracts like-minded professionals, opens doors to new collaborations, and can help you build meaningful relationships with other leaders, influencers, and prospects.

But most executives get stuck because:

• They don’t have the time

• They think they aren’t interesting enough (which is wrong)

• They fear looking vulnerable

So what should executives actually post about?

Here are a few content themes that consistently resonate:

✅ Behind-the-scenes decision-making - Share how your team approached a big challenge, launched a new product, or made a tough call.

✅ People and culture - Highlight the individuals who make your company run. Recognize teams, share values in action, or celebrate milestones.

✅ Lessons from the field - What’s a leadership mistake you learned from? A framework you return to? A surprising insight from a recent meeting?

✅ Your take on industry trends - We don’t need breaking news. We need your lens on how it impacts your space, your customers, or your team.

✅ Personal reflections - You don’t have to overshare. But a thoughtful story about your journey, your mentors, or what’s changed in how you lead? That’s gold.

Being visible and vocal on LinkedIn isn’t about ego, it’s about impact. And if you're not telling your story, someone else is telling one for you.
