Executives with impressive networks have an incredible opportunity on LinkedIn.

There are people that they worked with 3, 5, 10, 15+ years ago that they should reconnect with but there’s just no way to remember who to reach out.

That’s the value in LinkedIn for a high-level executive.

It’s the only place business relationships live.

Here’s what I’d recommend an Executive do on LinkedIn.

Today’s Topic - The LinkedIn Playbook for a High Level Executive

The playbook we are running right now for the CEO of a 400-person nonprofit.

First off, she has a really impressive background and network, but has never done anything on social media.

They want to grow their client base and use her LinkedIn to do so.

We are:

  1. Creating consistent thought leadership content about what they are doing and where donor dollars are going

  2. Combing through her network of existing clients and bringing to her attention the people she’s connected with that could be good to reach out to

  3. Sending targeted messages when people are engaging with her content

AND THIS IS THE BIG ONE.

We have taken a look at all of their Board Members networks on LinkedIn and identified where their close connections are that could be good connections for the org.

This isn’t a “Hey, we’d love to be connected to anyone in your network.”

This is a “Hey XXX (Board Member), we saw your closely connected to the following people and we were wondering if you’d be open to make an introduction for us to talk to them about the XYZ. We are happy to script the email for you to send.”

THIS HAS BEEN AN ABSOLUTE GAMECHANGER FOR THEM.

Nobody on their Development team has the time, tech, or resources for this.
