Welcome to the Revenue Generator where I (usually) share 1 tactic each week that you can implement to help you generate more revenue.

It feels like all of our clients are asking about how to get the most out of the conferences they are going to so I wanted to share what we’re recommending.

Let’s dive in.

Today’s Topic - The Conference Playbook

Most people go to conferences and come back with a stack of business cards and a vague plan to "follow up." We do it differently with our clients and it's a big reason why conferences actually turn into pipeline for them.

Before the conference even starts, we're doing the research. We take the attendee list, the dinner guest list, whoever we can get our hands on, and we go through their LinkedIn. Not just who they're connected to. We look at who they're actually engaging with. Who's commenting on their posts. Who's liking their stuff.

Because being connected on LinkedIn doesn't tell you anything.

Showing a relationship signal between two people... that tells you they actually know each other.

Then we map it.

Here's who's attending, here's who they have a real relationship with that fits our ICP, and here's the intro we should ask for. We hand that to the executive before they even get on the plane.

During the conference, we're posting content. Not "excited to be here at XYZ conference" stuff. Real content that positions our clients as someone worth meeting with while they're there.

After the conference, we run the follow-up. Who engaged with the posts? Who did they meet? What intros came out of the dinner? All of it gets tracked and turned into outreach.

One of our clients just came back from a major conference with roughly 30 meetings and the investor and analyst meetings were all inbound. The word was already out before they showed up because we'd been building their presence leading into it.

Conferences are expensive and the ROI shouldn't be left to chance.
