Welcome to the Revenue Generator where I (usually) share 1 tactic each week that you can implement to help you generate more revenue.
I believe out of the box is the way to stick out in sales. So many people love pressing a button and sending 100,000 messages and hoping 3 people say yes.
That’s not my game.
A lot of people also believe “always be closing” or “push for the next step on the call.”
That’s also not my strategy.
I believe in something different.
Let’s dive in.

Today’s Topic - How to use LinkedIn to get a Job
We stopped asking for meetings.
We started offering value.
Guess what happened? More meetings.
A colleague and I were talking about this the other day. The old LinkedIn outreach playbook, connect, pitch, ask for 15 minutes, follow up three times, I guess it used to work. But everyone's running the same play now and people are tired of it.
So we made a shift with our clients.
Instead of leading with "can I get 15 minutes on your calendar," we started leading with something actually useful. A relevant insight. A resource they'd care about. Something that makes their day a little easier.
No pitch. No calendar link. Just something worth reading.
And honestly? The results surprised even us.
People started responding. Not out of obligation, out of genuine interest.
Some of them asked US for the meeting.
That almost never happened with the old approach.
The thing is, aggressive outreach isn't broken because it's aggressive. It's broken because it's lazy. It takes zero effort to copy-paste the same "would love to connect" message to 50 people.
Leading with value takes more work. You have to actually think about what the other person cares about. But the conversations you get are completely different. They're with people who want to talk to you, not people you cornered into a call.
That's the only kind of conversation worth having.
