How to Prevent a Prospect from Canceling

Welcome to the Revenue Generator where I share 1 tactic each week that you can implement to help you generate more revenue.
There’s nothing worse than finally getting the meeting scheduled and the prospect bails.
Very often, a few quick steps would’ve prevented it.
Let’s dive into what these are.
Today’s Topic - How to Prevent a Prospect from Canceling
You finally get the prospect to agree to a meeting.
And then you show up on the Zoom at 1:00 pm ET with your Manager…
And they ghost you.
Here are four quick ideas to make sure it doesn’t happen in the future.
1. Ensure they accepted the calendar invite
Often overlooked but if they haven’t accepted the calendar invite, there’s a good chance they aren’t showing up.
24 hours in advance make sure you are checking the invite to ensure they accepted.
2. Send an agenda
It’s way easier to no-show when the person doesn’t send a clear agenda.
I’d also say make sure it’s personalized.
I am very anti the automatic agendas from a program like calendly.
3. Confirm with them 24-48 hours in advance
This shows you care about the meeting and their time.
Make it easy for them to say “Yes, I’ll be there.”
This is also an opportunity to share you’ll have a couple of people from your team in the meeting so they are less likely to bail.
4. Ask what else they might want to talk about
Nobody ever wants to be talked at.
Ensure you are asking them up front, what they want to talk about.
