I get overwhelmed by data and focusing on too many things.
And as a busy founder (we’re all busy) is that what helps me the most is simplifying things.
So that’s what I do when it comes to my sales efforts and focus.
Here’s the one sales stat I track for our business.

Today’s Topic - My Favorite Sales Metrics
My favorite sales metric right now?
Meetings with valuable people.
My goal is 5 every week.
I figure if I meet with 250+ great people over the course of a year, good things will happen for my business.
So far, the results have been awesome.
Prior to this metric, I got overwhelmed with thinking about all the different things I can track as for business development.
So I decided to simplify it.
I thought about what is most important for me, and that is just meeting consistently with good people who can transform my business.
These can be prospects or really strong partners.
Ever since I started tracking this 6+ months ago, I've hit my goal. And most weeks I'm up around 8-12 people.
80% of these meetings come from people I've met on LinkedIn or from referrals from those who see me on LinkedIn.
In a world where metrics can be overwhelming, this is my new favorite (and only) metric I want to track.
