The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas can be BRUTAL for those trying to generate new business.
Everyone has Q4 goals they are trying to hit but most prospects are saying “let’s touch base on this in the new year.”
This tactic may not help with that, but it will set you up for a successful 2025.
Let’s dive in.
Today’s Topic - A business development tactic to use around the holidays
For the last 5 years, every day on the day before Thanksgiving, I've spent 6-8 hours on this one activity.
I go through my contacts (I check my phone, emails, our CRM, etc.) and check in with ~100 people that I haven't in a while.
Something casual like
"Hey XXX, wanted to wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. [Insert a sentence or two that is specific about our relationship]. Let me know if I can ever do anything to be helpful for you."
I love things that everybody has in common and using that as an excuse to reach out and deepen a relationship.
Thanksgiving and holidays that everyone (or at least everyone in your country) celebrates are a great excuse for that.
