To get in with big prospects, you have to come up with a differentiated approach.
So today I want to share a recent client example and how you can implement this into your workflow.

Today’s Topic - How to get in with a top prospect
Want to get in the door with a top executive from a prospect account?
Stop sending sales reps. Start sending your CEO.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been in dozens of conversations with Executives, Marketing leaders, and Chiefs of Staff about this exact challenge: how to leverage the brand, title, and network of a CEO (or senior exec) to get in with higher-level prospects.
It works better than anything else, but most companies don’t have a system for it.
Here are the 3 steps I'd take to do this:
Map the network.
Identify target accounts and which senior execs you want to reach. Then, see where your CEO already has warm ties (alumni, boards, associations, past companies).
Script the outreach.
Keep it human and helpful, not salesy. A CEO note should feel like “peer to peer” - short, respectful, and curious. Figure out what feels comfortable for them to send.
Create thought leadership content - here's a 3-step approach we focus on:
Provide a data-driven factual takeaway in 50% of the posts
DO NOT make it sound like it was written by AI. Have them say it, record it, and write it up exactly how they say it
Be humble and others-focused
The irony is most CEOs want to do this but don’t have the time or structure.
When it becomes systematized, the results are game-changing: doors open, partnerships move faster, and pipeline grows at the executive level.
