Today’s Topic - How Founders/CEOs are generating leads from LinkedIn

In May, one of our clients, a Series B Founder operating at the intersection of higher education and workforce innovation, booked 15 sales calls directly from LinkedIn.

Here’s the breakdown of those 15 calls (plus a few takeaways) :

9 came from warm outreach, which means people he was already connected with engaged with his posts and messages were sent based on this.

6 came from inbound content: they proactively DM’ed him.

Pretty remarkable -- His content plus targeted warm outreach played a role in 15 calls in May.

This shows the power of content, specifically LinkedIn content in B2B businesses.

His posts were timely, grounded insights on what higher ed leaders are dealing with right now:

  • Declining enrollment

  • Employer-aligned learning

  • The ROI of degrees

  • How institutions can adapt without losing their mission

And his clients had:

  • Found value in these posts

  • Knew what he and his company stood for without feeling sold to

His content spoke to provosts, presidents, and workforce leaders who are facing pressure to evolve but are unsure how to move forward.

Outreach becomes so much more effective when you’re posting on LinkedIn because your content becomes a second sales team.
