Welcome to the Revenue Generator where I share 1 tactic each week that you can implement to help you generate more revenue.

I spend a lot of my weeks talking with Founders and Chief Revenue Officers about how they can use LinkedIn more effectively but also, how do they get their sales teams to better use it.

I often hear,

“We have Sales Navigator but we never use it.”

“I feel like nobody on our team uses LinkedIn well.”

“We had training one time a few years ago but nobody ever did anything with it.”

So today I’ll be sharing how you, as a leader, can get your team to use LinkedIn to generate new opportunities.

Today’s Topic - How to get your sales team to use LinkedIn to drive new business

Let’s get straight to it, here are the steps I’d recommend.

1. Do a 60-90 minute workshop on the basics

- Set up your profile for success

- Provide a lead magnet at the top

- How to create content

- How to engage with others

- How to send direct messages

2. Schedule a follow-up workshop 30 days after the first one

- They must create one post

- They must send 10 direct messages

- They must send 1 video message

And then this is where it gets really interesting...

3. Schedule a recurring Wednesday morning check-in from 9 am - 10 am for each person to work through and post a piece of content

- This holds them accountable for doing it

- They also have help if they need it

I am doing this with 3 organizations right now and they are seeing amazing results.

As we head into month 6 with two of the organizations, they have begun to build a habit.
