Referrals make sales so much easier.

And yet so many sellers I talk to don’t do enough to make it easy for current clients to refer them.

Today’s newsletter is a step-by-step process (with an example) on how to do this.

Today’s Topic - How to get referrals in sales

When it comes to getting referrals, make it as easy as possible for the other person.

1. Script the email for them to send

2. Ask if you can introduce them to anyone in your network (returning the favor)

It’ll make it much more likely that it happens.

Here's a quick example I sent to a friend that had a co-worker who was interested in partnering together on the work that I do.

Hey (Friend),

Below is a scripted email that you can send to that coworker you mentioned was interested in using LinkedIn to generate new sales opportunities.

Similarly, let me know if there's anyone in my network that you'd like to be connected with for the work that you do.

"Hey XXX,

I just spoke with Harris and he's happy to talk with you about the work that he does with Executives on LinkedIn.

He helps you write authentic content for your ideal customer profile, connect with them to bring them into your network, and send personalized messages that get you sales conversations.

And he does all of this so you don't have to spend time on the platform.

I'm CCing him here so he can provide times for you two to connect.
