It’s really hard to stick out in cold prospecting.
Many people tend to get burnt out quickly because it can feel like a numbers game.
I believe if done correctly, for B2B sales, you should focus on doing a great job with a few prospects rather than mass-blasting thousands of people.
I wanted to share some ideas to help you establish that relationship and schedule that first conversation.
Today’s Topic - How to Stand Out in Cold Prospecting
B2B sales today is about doing more than just selling your product/service.
It's the only way to win business in a world where people are inundated with bad sales pitches.
Here are some examples that I've seen work to build that relationship:
1. Making an introduction to someone in your network to help them
2. Helping them with funding
3. Inviting them to an experience they otherwise wouldn’t have
4. Creating valuable content consistently for your ICP
5. Providing value for months before they pay you
And the last one is really important.
We all constantly receive bad sales pitches before that person ever develops any type of relationship with us.
You have to build that relationship before you earn the right to sell in B2B.
