WHERE WE SEE INNOVATION - Recruiting

Proactive Recruiting

I hear so often from Founders and Managers how hard it is to find the right people for their open positions.

They post on Indeed, or they post on LinkedIn, and hope that the right person ends up applying.

There's a better way to do it and that is proactive recruiting - the process by which you actively find candidates rather than asking them to come to you.

10% of the workforce hates their job.

10% of the workforce loves their job.

80% of the workforce would leave for the right opportunity.

The best companies are constantly networking/building relationships with those people in the 80% category so they can bring them onto their team when the timing is right.

Not sure how to do it?

Set a goal of connecting with 1 person in your industry per week that could be a good fit for a potential open position down the road.

Here's a script you can use:

"Hi, my name is Harris and I'm the Founder of Activate Onboarding. Activate is a new hire onboarding solution designed to save you time and effort while decreasing the time it takes your new hires to become productive.

I wanted to reach out because I am always looking to get to know others in the industry and build relationships. Your experience at [insert something personal] really stood out to me and I think it would be great for us to get to know one another. Does June 10 or June 12 work for a quick 30-minute Zoom call?"

Make your New Hires Productive Quicker

One of the most important goals of effective new hire onboarding is to speed up the time it takes for your new hires to become productive.

I have spent the last several months working with companies on this and have seen some amazing results.
