Today’s Topic - An idea I’m now using for interviewing new talent

I’m hiring an Account Manager and did something unexpectedly in the interview process that’s been helpful.

People message me on LinkedIn to express interest.

I tell them to:

  1. Write me an email with why they’re interested

  2. Share some dates/times that work for an interview

Number 2 has given me some interesting insights.

How quickly are the dates that they give me shows me how interested they are.

And then this is the big one.

I’m interviewing people all over the US.

I want someone who offers dates/times in EST (like I am), shows they did their research on me and are going to make my life easier.

If they didn’t do this and I’m still interested in them, I’ll bring this up in the interview to see how they take real-time feedback.

Minor stuff, but in the world of customer success, I’m obsessive about this.
