6 Best Selling Tactics for LinkedIn
That 99% of people won't do
Welcome to The Revenue Generator
Hey there, it’s Harris!
Welcome to the Revenue Generator where I share 1 tactic each week that you can implement to help you generate more revenue.
If you’ve been following along for some time, you know that I love using LinkedIn as a sales tool.
I think it is severely underrated by so many people.
Today, I’ll dive into 6 things you can do to stick out (in a good way!) on LinkedIn.
Today’s Topic - 6 Selling Ideas for LinkedIn
Most people don’t post on LinkedIn.
And most that use it for sales… use it poorly.
They have an AI tool that spams thousands of people every day.
That never works and I am fully against those tools.
Here are 6 ideas that work:
Check who views your profile
Many sales opportunities come from people lurking.
If someone viewed your profile, there’s a potential they are interested in what you are selling.
Send a thoughtful message after you’ve done some research like “Hey XXX, saw that your company just raised $3M in seed money. Let me know if I can do anything to be helpful for you.”
Video message
Everyone sends written messages.
Nobody sends personalized face-to-camera video messages.
It is a GREAT way to stand out in a crowded space.
Create content consistently
Most people either never create content or do it for a week and then stop.
The best way to get people to your profile (see idea #1) is to create consistent content.
Come up with a strategy that will work for you and begin posting content directed at your ideal customer profile
Comment thoughtfully on your ICP’s posts
If your ICP is posting, they are telling you what they care about
They are also giving you an opportunity to make a cold contact… warm.
It’s amazing how much of a missed opportunity it is for sellers to not “hit the bell” on all of their prospect’s LinkedIn profiles.Ask close connections if they can make an intro
You don’t want to abuse this one.
But it’s one I highly recommend for really important prospects.
If someone you know well is connected to a big prospect of yours, send a text and see if they can make an intro.
Provide value before you sell
It’s amazing how many TERRIBLE messages we all receive on LinkedIn.
DO NOT sell in the first message you send.
Your job in that first message is to provide value and try to get a conversation/meeting with them.

How we can work together:
LinkedIn Agency for Executives - If you are an Executive or work with an Executive that you think could benefit from posting more on LinkedIn, I’d be happy to talk.
I’ve spent 2+ years understanding how the algorithm works and how you can generate more business opportunities and find new talent by being active and creating content.LinkedIn Workshops for Sales Teams - I have been doing in-person and virtual workshops for sales teams to help them understand how they can best use LinkedIn to generate new business opportunities.
Tech Recruiting Support - I partner closely with an organization that is amazing at filling niche technical roles. If you are hiring in this space and need support, I’m happy to make an introduction.
