Welcome to the Revenue Generator where I share 1 tactic each week that you can implement to help you generate more revenue.
Most people use LinkedIn incorrectly.
They connect with someone and immediately pitch them.
That never works.
LinkedIn shouldn’t be used to sell… at least not right away - it should be used to take someone from a cold connection to a little bit warmer.
Let’s dive into my process.
Today’s Topic - My 5-Step Process for Generating Leads from LinkedIn
My 5-step process for generating new B2B leads from LinkedIn:
1. Add them as a connection.
1b. DO NOT pitch them on your product/service.
2. Generate good content targeted at that specific ICP for 6+ months.
3. Send them a direct message providing value specifically for them
3b. Invite them to an event with their peers, interview them for a whitepaper, send a resource you know will be valuable, etc.
4. Develop trust where you focus exclusively on helping them no matter what that is.
5. Trust that the long game and providing value will work out. Don’t try to get the sale now.
