I’ve been having a lot of conversations recently about what signals to look for in potential buyers on LinkedIn so I wanted to share the ones I look out for below.
Let’s dive in.

Today’s Topic - 5 subtle signs that someone in your LinkedIn network might be considering working with you
1. They’ve viewed your profile multiple times
If someone’s circling your profile, they’re curious. It usually means they saw your name (via a comment, a post, a search) and they’re vetting you before engaging. This is one of the clearest signs of early intent.
2. They consistently engage with your content (even quietly)
Some people won’t comment or DM. But they’ll like 3 of your posts in a row. Or reshare one without tagging you.
3. They recently connected with someone from your team or industry
If someone added your CRO, AE, or even a competitor last week and just connected with you now, there’s a reason. They’re building context. Don’t ignore the timing.
4. They comment thoughtfully on your post
It’s easy to get excited when someone finally comments. But a single thoughtful comment (especially with a question or agreement) is often a toe in the water. Follow up with value, don’t let the thread die.
5. They match your ICP and engage around relevant topics
If someone who looks like your ideal buyer is engaging with content about the problem you solve, yours or someone else’s, that’s a window.
These micro-signals might not show up in your CRM but they matter.
