Welcome to the Revenue Generator where I (usually) share 1 tactic each week that you can implement to help you generate more revenue.

For much of the last 10 years, I was a wantrapraneur.

Always wanted to start a company, but never really had the idea where there was enough interest to truly get going.

And then I stopped trying so hard and something came to me, and I officially launched Linked Revenue.

And the last ~2 years of my professional life with Linked Revenue have been the best I’ve ever experienced. Of course, there are a lot of hard times, but I love being an entrepreneur.

I couldn’t imagine life without being an entrepreneur.

So today, I’ll share a couple of thoughts about the journey.

Today’s Topic - 10 things I believe to be true about Entrepreneurship

10 things I believe to be true about entrepreneurship:

  1. It’s the best and hardest path an individual can take for work

  2. The positives outweigh the negatives

  3. Once you do it, it’s REALLY REALLY hard to go back to being an employee

  4. You’ll get knocked down wayyyy more times than you’ll be lifted up

  5. It’s a cheat code to have a supportive spouse who can help you through the tough times. I am so lucky and grateful for my wife who helps me so much through the tough times of entrepreneurship.

  6. I think it’s easier if you aren’t emotional – this is something I struggle with!

  7. Having enjoyable clients makes everything so much better. I’m not quite at the point where I only take on enjoyable clients, but that’s the goal in 2026!

  8. Having hard-working employees makes everything so much better. This is the number 1 trait I want to interview for… this and being likable

  9. It is really, really, really hard to build a company fully remote

  10. The more people you know, and the more people that know you, the more likely you are to succeed - this is the basis of our business and it’s so true.
