How to actually get more leads

The majority of people use LinkedIn incorrectly for sales.

They send a mass blast out to 10,000 prospects and pray that somebody will respond.

Not only does this not work, it hurts your brand reputation as well.

In today’s newsletter, I dive into what to do instead.

Today’s Topic - How to Stand Out (in a good way) on LinkedIn

I believe success in B2B sales is about doing what other people won’t do.

And that is almost always the “hard route.”

But it’s also the route that works.

Here is a step-by-step process for generating real leads from LinkedIn that most people on LinkedIn won’t do.

1. Connect with your ideal customer profile (no message)

2. Once they accept, do 5 minutes of research on them

3. Open up your phone and click take a video

4. Do a face-to-camera quick 30-second video mentioning something personal you read/saw about them and how you can provide value

5. DO NOT SELL in that first message

Do this over and over, and you’ll build a strong pipeline.

The hard part is people will stop after doing this 3 times and say it is not working.

The easy (and unsuccessful way) is to mass message a sales pitch.

I don’t believe this EVER works for B2B sales.
